New build veterinary practice
Project: Small animal Practice
Client: University of Liverpool
This project was delivered by our team whilst working for a previous business founded by our Director Wesley Allmark. This project for the University of Liverpool consisted of a new build veterinary facility, providing consulting rooms, operating theatres, reception area, animal accommodation and other ancillary facilities.
The project was built on the highly populated Grove Street site surrounded by a number of teaching and office buildings.
The 600-m2 building has been constructed using a SIPPS panel system. This was selected to help meet a very tight programme.
To meet the University’s sustainable buildings target high levels of insulation and an evaporative cooling system were installed to help keep running costs low.
The new facility achieved a BREEAM very good rating and provides modern facilities for staff, students and clients. This scheme was part of a £10m investment by the University in the development of the existing veterinary school.
